Remember the last time you tried to get help? The door was closed, your honesty was used against you, the system was fragmented and no one followed your progress. You were on your own.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like this is going to change anytime soon.
Student's 'survival' instincts tell them not to draw attention, not to make a fuss, not to ask for help. But these are a liability when it comes to student health. This must change. And given the rising prevalence of teen depression and substance use and suicide, change is not optional.
